Children take their examination according to the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) formulated by CBSE. This scheme of evaluation follows a holistic approach of judging a student’s performance continuously. Therefore learning takes precedence over testing. The focus is on the scholastic and co-scholastic areas along with the development of life skills, values, attitudes, beliefs, interest and co-curricular activities. Under this system two sets of assessments are required- Formative and Summative. The objective of formative assessment is to continuously monitor student’s progress whereas in summative assessment is a measure of how much they have learned by the end of the academic year.
