Vox Populi Conducts Inter-House Debate 2025
The Royal Debating Society (Vox Populi) hosted an Inter-House Debate Competition for students of Grades 9 and 11 on 21st June. The motion for the debate was: “This House believes that one nation, one examination, one election is antithetical to the spirit of India”. It was an Oxford style of debate where each house was represented by a team of 2 debaters, one arguing for the motion and the other arguing against the motion. The Proposition emphasized the problems associated with this concept and how it is against the concept of federalism, while the opposition provided counterarguments highlighting the benefits of uniformity and efficiency that such a policy could bring.Team Awards:- Winning team- Vivekananda House Runner up team- Gandhi House Individual Awards:Best Speaker: Diya Sarawgi Most Promising Speaker: Navya Tripathi Congratulations to all the speakers for their impressive performances!
