The Harvest Festival Magh Bihu
The Harvest Festival Magh Bihu also known as Bhogali Bihu was celebrated with a lot of festive fervour and enthusiastic zeal. The school wore a festive look and most of us were dressed in our traditional finery.
There was a special Assembly where the students put up a splendid skit wherein all the aspects of Bihu were showcased beautifully. The program reached its feverish peak when the Bihu dancers put up a well synchronised and graceful dance and had everyone grooving to the foot tapping number. The Vice Principal Mrs. Binita Jain addressed the gathering students and wished everyone on the auspicious occasion of Magh Bihu. The cherry on the top was the tiny tots of Pre Primary dressed in traditional Assamese attire and dancing to the beat of the Dhol and the Peppa !
The special Assembly came to an end with the burning of the Meji and everyone having a bite of the Pitha and Nariyal laddoo.
