Royal Global School proudly announces its success at the SGFI State Chess Championship 2024!
Our talented young chess players:
Vivaan Ariz Thakuria (Under 14 Boys), Ritisha Mayra Rajbongshi (Under 14 Girls), along with Devishi Das, Sia Sonthalia, and Kreesha Jain (Under 19 Girls) have qualified for the SGFI National Chess Championship 2024! The upcoming championship will take place in Bhopal and Kolkata from November 16th to 21st, 2024.
Royal Global School Shines at CBSE Far East Zone Archery Championship 2024
Royal Global School students participated in the CBSE Far East Zone Archery Competition 2024, held from 20th to 22nd September 2024 in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.
Aahan P Konwar competed in the Under-14 Boys category.
Jimena Lalhruaitluangi and Melvina Oinam participated in the Under-17 Girls category.
Khusboo Firdoushi represented the school in the Under-19 Girls category.
The Under-19 Girls category team brought home medals:

50m Distance: 2nd place
30m Distance: 3rd place
Overall: 3rd place
Khusboo Firdoushi has also qualified for the Nationals, which will be held in Delhi in October.

RGS Shines at CBSE Taekwondo Championship with Gold & Bronze Victory
RGS participated in the CBSE Far East Zone Taekwondo Championship, where Sachit Dey of Class 11 secured a gold medal in the Under-19, 45 kg category. Additionally, Jagrav Das of Class 12 won a bronze medal in the Under-19, 70 kg category. Sachit Dey has also been selected to compete in the CBSE Nationals, scheduled for October.

Royalites Shine at EvoTech 3.0 Tech Fest
On August 21st and 22nd, 2024, a talented group of students from Royal Global School participated in EvoTech 3.0, the third edition of the annual inter-school tech fest hosted by Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti, Guwahati. This event brought together some of the brightest young minds to compete in a variety of tech-centric challenges, including Chatbot Making, Mobile Gaming, and more.
The first day began with a grand opening ceremony, featuring a stunning instrumental performance and an engaging dance by the students of Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti. The day was filled with diverse events such as Event Videography, Poster Making, Coding, Chatbot Making, Start-Up Pitching, Marketing, Console Gaming, and Mobile Gaming. Our Royalites participated enthusiastically, seizing the opportunity to learn and innovate.
RGS Coach Appointed Sole Northeast Arbiter for Commonwealth Chess Championship
Mr. Ravi Kant Tiwari, the chess coach of Royal Global School, has been appointed as the only sole official Arbiter representing the entire Northeast region for the Commonwealth Chess Championship. The championship will take place from August 27th to September 6th, 2024, at the Citrus Hotel in Waskaduwa, Kalutara, Sri Lanka. This prestigious event is being organized by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka on behalf of FIDE and the Commonwealth Chess Association.
Mr. Tiwari's appointment as Arbiter was made by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka, following a recommendation from the All India Chess Federation. We deeply appreciate his dedication, expertise, and invaluable contribution to the chess community.
RGS Champions Shine at National School Chess Championship 2024
Congratulations to Chaitanya Siotia and Shivansh Nahata for securing the Gold and Silver medals on Board 5 in the Under-12 category, respectively. Additionally, Vihaan Upadhyay won the Silver medal on Board 5 in the Under-18 category at the 2nd National School Team Chess Championship 2024. The event was organized by the All India Chess Federation at Sarusajai Stadium from August 12th to 14th, 2024.

JILMIL – A Beautiful Assamese Song by Rising Star Aarohi Khanikar
We are delighted to present "JILMIL," an enchanting Assamese children's song performed by our talented student, Aarohi Khanikar of Class 5 B. Aarohi, a dedicated student of Indian Classical Music at Bhaktkhande University, Lucknow, is currently pursuing her Madhyama course and has achieved distinction marks in her Prathama examination.
Aarohi's passion for music from a young age has greatly contributed to the advancement of her Assamese music. Her recent release, "JILMIL," beautifully showcases her remarkable talent. The song's lyrics and music are composed by her esteemed guru, Shri Nityananda Deka, a renowned Assamese artist.

RGS Champions Shine at Inter District Roll Ball Championship 2024
The students of RGS showcased their exceptional talent and determination at the Inter District Roll Ball Championship held from July 26th to 28th, 2024. Their impressive performance brought home numerous accolades, and we couldn't be prouder of their achievements!

Paraj Garg Scores 99.4% in ICSE, Excels in Chess, Shooting & Music
Paraj Garg scored 99.4% ( 497/500) in the recently held 10th class ICSE Board Exam. He appeared for this exam from Bombay Scottish School, Mahim, Mumbai. Aside from academic excellence, he has also earned laurels in sports and extra-curricular activities. He is a Pianist, an international FIDE-rated Chess player, and a National-level Air Rifle Shooter. He is one of the few students, who while representing the ICSE Board, simultaneously participated in two sports events i.e. Chess and Rifle shooting, in the National School Games. He can communicate in four languages including Chinese and has always received a distinction in communication skills certificate courses conducted by Trinity College London.
Cultural Expressions at Grade 5 Elocution
"Effective communication is 20% of what you know and 80% of what you feel about what you know." Jim Rohn.
An Intersection Elocution competition for the students of grade 5 was organised. The theme was India's Unity in Diversity. It was woven around culture, cuisine, costume and religion from any Indian state.
The budding speakers chose a topic from the plethora of topics that were available. Seeing some of the speakers dressed in the traditional attire of the state they represented was a pleasant sight.
These kinds of activities are done in the school to boost the confidence of the students and to enhance their public speaking skills.
Yunay Gupta Dominates National Kettlebell Championship 2024
The record for being the youngest to win all the categories in the 11th National Kettlebell Championship 2024 was set by Yunay Gupta. He secured first rank in all the 3 categories, including Snatch (5 minutes), OALC (10 minutes) and OALC (30 minutes) in the 11th National Kettlebell Championship 2024 held from March 29 to March 31, 2024 in Gurugram (Haryana), at the age of 6 years, 10 months and 23 days.

Sports has the power to change the world. It's about life, emotions, and passion.
Royal Global School witnessed the fusion of sweat, teamwork, and cheers during the Annual Sports Day for Grades 1-5. The day brimmed with thrills as budding sportspersons showcased athleticism and sportsmanship.
The auspicious day kicked off with Ms. Binita Jain, Vice Principal, releasing balloons symbolizing the vibrant hopes of the students. Grade 2 students demonstrated various asanas for a fit and healthy life, followed by a diverse range of events like the 50-meter race, sack race, obstacle race, three-legged race, relay race, and more.
