Grade 9C Observes Human Rights Day
Grade 9C conducted the morning assembly today in observance of Human Rights Day. To commemorate this important occasion, a guest speaker from UNICEF, Ms. Ananya Goswami, was invited. She possesses extensive expertise in social policy and strategic planning, with a strong focus on human rights–based approaches to development programming.
Ms. Goswami enlightened the students on the significance of human rights, particularly child rights, and explained their essential role in building a just and equitable society. She highlighted that with every right comes a corresponding duty and stressed the importance of allowing others to enjoy their rights without interference. Students were encouraged to recognize their responsibilities and respect the rights of those around them.
An interactive session on human rights was then conducted by Ms. Ananya Goswami, during which students participated enthusiastically. The session concluded with the screening of a UNICEF video, offering deeper insight into the organization’s global work and the importance of safeguarding human rights.
