Healing the Earth Together

“Look out for the land and the land will look after you,
Destroy the land, and the land will destroy you.”
To celebrate Earth Day, a day dedicated to our magnificent planet, the students of Royal Global School gathered to attend a special assembly on 22nd April 2024. The assembly began with a moment of prayer, reflecting on the beauty of this beautiful planet called Earth. The assembly proceedings were an amalgamation of a medley of vibrant performances and presentations wherein the narrative of hope, inspiration, and action for a brighter and greener future was weaved. The enchanting artistry of a Nukkad Natak (Street Play)depicting the importance of preserving our planet was staged in a fun and interactive way. Every gesture and word echoed the urgency and the need of the hour to save the earth. The play was followed by a harmonious symphony of a musical enactment – a modern contemporary presentation that showed the beautiful gift of nature from God is, and took us on a harmonious journey of reverence, honoring the bond between humanity and nature. A video sensitizing about the detrimental effect of plastic on the environment was screened, where the visuals served as a gentle reminder of the consequences of actions of humankind and the need for change. The Principal, Dr. Dilip Kumar Panda addressed the assembly and emphasized the role played by students as harbingers of change in the society so that we maintain the exquisitely delicate balance of nature. The program ended with a wonderful display of different models made by the students describing the importance of utmost care to be taken regarding Earth.
