Inside Assam’s House of Democracy

On August 29, 2024, grade 11 Humanities students from Royal Global School, accompanied by their Political Science teacher, had the privilege of visiting the Assam Legislative Assembly in Dispur, Guwahati. The visit proved to be an enriching experience for the students, offering them a deeper understanding of the democratic process, legislative practices, and the government’s role in policy-making. Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the Assembly staff.
A highlight of the visit was the opportunity to witness a live session of the Assam Legislative Assembly. Seated in the visitor’s gallery, the students had a clear view of the proceedings.
