RGS commemorated Gandhi Jayanti

Royal Global School commemorated Gandhi Jayanti with great enthusiasm and reverence today. The school premises buzzed with energy as students and teachers gathered to honor the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
The event began with the garlanding of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue, beautifully adorned with vibrant flowers. Siddhant Sen Deka, Vice Captain of Gandhi House, anchored the program and delivered a thoughtful speech on Gandhi’s life, principles, and philosophy. Toshai Syiem of Grade XI also spoke about the life of Mahatma Gandhi. The audience was captivated by a mesmerizing violin recital by Sayantana Saikia, followed by the teachers’ heartfelt rendition of patriotic bhajans, which created a tranquil and reflective atmosphere. Vice Principal Binita Jain then led an enlightening session on the significance of the Bhajan “Vaishnav Jan To,” accompanied by the soulful vocals of Susanta Chowdhury. Principal Dr. Dillip Kr. Panda further inspired the gathering with a speech highlighting the contributions of both Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri to India’s freedom struggle. The celebration concluded with a warm vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Karabi Das, House Mistress of Gandhi House.
