RGS Pays Tribute on Rabha Divas

Royal Global School solemnly observed Rabha Divas on 20th June, marking the death anniversary of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha, the legendary artist and cultural icon of Assam. The event served as a tribute to his immense contribution to Assamese art, literature, and culture.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Ms. Caroline, the Head of Primary. In her address, she encouraged the students to actively participate in cultural programs and draw inspiration from stalwarts like Bishnu Rabha.
The anchor of the event eloquently spoke about the multifaceted talent and enduring legacy of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha. To further honor his memory, two students performed a soulful rendition of Rabha Sangeet, captivating the audience with their melodious tribute.
Sattyakee D’com Bhuyan, Mentor, gave a brief yet insightful talk on the life and contributions of Bishnu Rabha, highlighting his role as a freedom fighter, poet, musician, and social reformer.
The program concluded with the rendition of Assam’s State Anthem, leaving the gathering in a spirit of pride and reverence.
The celebration not only paid homage to a great personality but also instilled a sense of cultural pride among the students.
