The Lock Horn Debates

The Lock Horn Debates held at DPSG offered a remarkable learning experience for the students of RGS. Centered on the motion “This House believes that India should implement a wealth tax on ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs),” the tournament was an exciting opportunity for the RGS team, who emerged as champions. Dhruve Bagri, Yash Chhanjer, and Shanvi Agarwal displayed exceptional debating skills, with their dedication rewarded as they were announced winners. Shanvi’s outstanding performance earned her the Best Speaker award. The team’s strong collaboration and meticulous preparation shone through in their arguments and rebuttals, making their victory well-deserved and memorable. Beyond the thrill of competition, participating in the tournament enriched their public speaking skills and broadened their understanding of relevant socio-economic issues, making it an invaluable experience. The Lock Horn Debates provided an excellent platform for the students to showcase their talents, learn from peers, and emerge as deserving champions.
