Visit to Nortap Village in Sonapur
The Utsarga Club members organized a visit to Nortap village in Sonapur on 31st August, accompanied by 29 boarders from grades 6 to 11, along with their coordinator, Mrs. Mahua G. Kanungoe, and Dr. Himashree Kalita. This visit was held in remembrance of Mother Teresa’s birthday and to honor the mission she envisioned for the needy.
Upon arriving at the L.P. School, the students were divided into two groups to engage with the children. For students in grades 1-3, activities focused on experiential learning through games and physical exercises such as drawing, recitation, word comprehension, mathematics, and action songs. The other group connected with students in grades 4 and 5 by sharing their talents through various art forms.
Many games were played with the children, and the distribution of chocolates, juices, and biscuits marked the celebration of Mother Teresa’s birthday, wrapping up a memorable day filled with bonding and friendship.
It was a meaningful and enriching experience for the RGS students, one they will cherish for a long time.
