Within the vibrant setting of RGS, Teachers' Day 2024 burst with creativity and energy, unfolding in two distinct yet equally captivating segments. The first brought to life the talents of pre-primary and primary students, while the second highlighted the impressive skills of middle and senior school students.

The event, elegantly titled ‘Magna Stella: A Night with the Stars’ commenced with a touch of glamour as teachers made their grand entrance down the red carpet, setting the tone for the event.

From dynamic dance routines and harmonious choirs to engaging skits and vibrant band performances, each act was a testament to the students' dedication and creativity. What set this event apart was its entirely student-driven execution, spearheaded by the School Prefect Council. With an array of student volunteers and performers at the helm, the celebration overflowed with genuine affection and appreciation, beautifully capturing the profound connection between students and their mentors.

To commemorate the Tithi of Mahapurush Sri Sankar Dev, the proponent of the Vaishnavite religion, a special assembly was held.

The assembly began with the prayer 'Tumi Chitra Bitri Mura.' Students were informed about Saint Sankar Dev, a revered dramatist and poet who composed his first poem at the age of 12, without any matras. The event featured a graceful Satriya dance performance, set to a soulful song, captivating the audience. This was followed by a melodious rendition of Borgeet sung in the Brajavali language, a dialect used by the saint to spread his teachings. The assembly concluded with a Nam Kirtan, accompanied by the rhythmic sounds of the Khol and Taal, creating a surreal ambiance.

The special assembly offered students a deep insight into Assamese culture and provided valuable information about the Vaishnavite saint.

Dr. Dillip Kumar Panda, the head of the school, addressed the students, highlighting the significance of Saint Sankar Dev. He described him as a pivotal figure in the renaissance of the Bhakti movement, emphasizing his devotion to one God, Lord Krishna.

For students in grades 1-3, activities focused on experiential learning through games and physical exercises such as drawing, recitation, word comprehension, mathematics, and action songs. The other group connected with students in grades 4 and 5 by sharing their talents through various art forms.

Many games were played with the children, and the distribution of chocolates, juices, and biscuits marked the celebration of Mother Teresa's birthday, wrapping up a memorable day filled with bonding and friendship.

India is a land of diverse cultures and ethnicity yet we are one and all proud Indians.

Royal Global School Guwahati celebrated the 78th Independence Day with a lot of patriotism and enthusiasm.

The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Tricolour to the soulful flute rendition of Saare Jahaan Se Aacha and Vande Mataram. The March Past by the school contingent followed. They were aptly supported by the melodious music played by the students setting the tone and mood for the events that followed.

The head of the school Dr. Dillip Kumar Panda addressed the August gathering wherein he said that long years ago some people made a promise and after a lot of struggle India has made a tryst with destiny. This struggle taught us resilience. But our freedom comes with a lot of challenges where the question if we will be able to breathe free and clean air or drink pure water in the future looms large in the air. He asked the parents to teach their children the difference between exact education and education as propagated by social media. So the need of the hour is not only to produce techies who will propel development but at the same time use technology to build a more peaceful and sustainable world.

The school choir enthralled the gathering with their melodious song. Through their song, they praised our Motherland and its glory. India's cultural diversity was brought forth as the choir sang in different Indian languages.

The skit took us through memory lane as they showcased India's journey from 1942 to 1947 and how subtly the seed of partition was floated.

A befitting end to the celebration was the dance by the young students of grades II and III. They captivated and mesmerized everyone with their graceful dance performance. Their nimble feet brought the stage alive and everyone watched spellbound.

The participants gained new knowledge on lesser-known aspects of the Partition and engaged enthusiastically in the discussion.

A team of 30 students and their class teacher visited the "Amar Ghor Old Age Home" for a donation drive. They brought along a variety of essential items such as rice, dal, aata, mustard oil, sugar, salt, biscuits, soya chunks, bread, ORS, soaps, suji, and muffins.

The students danced, sang, and enjoyed themselves with the elderly residents, creating a joyful atmosphere. They left the place with satisfaction and happiness, gaining valuable life lessons from the experience.

A father's tears and fears are unseen, his love is unexpressed, but his care and protection remain as a pillar of strength throughout a child's life.
