The campus of Royal Global School came alive with excitement as Quizzical - the Inter-House Quiz Competition (2026-27) brought together students from Grades 9-12 for an engaging celebration of knowledge, teamwork, and quick thinking.

Each house was represented by a four-member team, with one participant from each grade. The quiz tested general awareness, observation, lateral thinking, and reasoning across history, science, current affairs, language, and the arts.

The event was conducted by Quiz Master Mr. Nabojyoti Gupta, whose thoughtfully curated questions encouraged participants to reason their way to answers through clues and inference. The result was a closely fought, high-scoring contest filled with brilliant responses and memorable moments from both participants and audience alike.

The event concluded on a high note, celebrating the spirit of curiosity, teamwork, and sharp thinking displayed throughout the competition. Quizzical 2026–27 was not merely a contest of answers, but a celebration of learning, reasoning, and the excitement of discovery

The History Department of Royal Global School organised an educational visit for Classes XI and XII to the specially curated exhibition “Bharat: Contours of Continuity” hosted at The Assam Royal Global University in collaboration with the Indian Museum, Kolkata, on the occasion of International Museum Day and 150 Years of Vande Mataram.

Students explored a remarkable collection of sculptures, paintings, and historical artefacts reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage. Highlights included the bronze sculpture of Nataraja, Ramayana paintings by Shree Krishnalal, and replica artefacts of Buddha, Bodhisattva, Gajalakshmi, and other significant historical symbols.

The visit provided students with an enriching learning experience beyond the classroom and deepened their understanding of Indian history, art, and cultural continuity.

“Play is the highest form of research.” Keeping this spirit alive, our Primary teachers participated in an enriching ThinkTac STEM Training Session on 16th May 2026, conducted by resource person Ms. Kakali Deka.

The session gave teachers a firsthand experience of the exciting activity kits that our students will soon explore in their classrooms. From experimenting with Food Testing and Preservation to learning about health through Measuring Lung Capacity, every activity blended curiosity, creativity, and scientific thinking in a fun, hands on way.

Designed especially for Classes I to V, these curriculum aligned STEM activities encourage children to question, investigate, create, and discover through experiential learning. The workshop beautifully highlighted how learning becomes more meaningful when children are encouraged to think, tinker, and explore.

Our teachers enthusiastically embraced innovative teaching methods that will make classroom learning more interactive, engaging, and joyful for every child.

Today, our Grade IV and V students stepped into a world of wonder at the newly inaugurated Science City, Sonapur.

As our inaugural trip of the year, it was the perfect blend of academic exploration and joyful bonding. Students spent the day navigating the vast, state‑of‑the‑art campus, engaging with interactive exhibits, asking big questions, and creating beautiful memories together with their teachers.

From marvelling at scientific innovations to sharing laughter with friends, every moment was a reminder that learning goes far beyond the classroom walls.

We are proud to see our students embrace new experiences with such enthusiasm, and we look forward to many more opportunities that nurture their creativity, critical thinking, and love for learning.

We are delighted to share that Lokaksh Borkakoty, a student of Grade 4B at Royal Global School, has won the Bronze Medal in the Under-9 Boys’ Singles category at the All Assam Inter-school Badminton Championship held at Modern English School.

On 9th and 10th May, students from Royal Global School participated in the IIT Guwahati Debate and Public Speaking Boot Camp held at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and organised by Taivas Debate Club. The boot camp focused on enhancing students’ public speaking, critical thinking, and communication skills through workshops, discussions, and interactive activities.

The students of Royal Global School delivered an outstanding performance and secured several accolades across different categories.

Royal Global School solemnly celebrated the 165th birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore with great enthusiasm and reverence.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the triumph of knowledge and enlightenment. A floral garland was then offered to the statue of Rabindranath Tagore as a mark of deep respect and admiration.

An insightful speech was delivered by Saumya Bakshi (Grade 12 Science), who eloquently highlighted the remarkable life, literary genius, and invaluable contributions of Tagore to Indian literature, music, and culture.

Adding cultural elegance to the celebration, the renowned Rabindra Sangeet “Jodi Tor Dak Shune Keu Na Ashe” was melodiously rendered by Mr. Susanta Chowdhury, Dean of Activities, creating a serene and soulful atmosphere. The programme concluded with a captivating recitation by Grace Nora Kharbuli (Grade 12 Humanities) who presented “Where the Mind is Without Fear” with great expression and confidence.

The celebration was conducted gracefully and served as a fitting tribute to the enduring legacy of Rabindranath Tagore, leaving everyone inspired by his timeless message of knowledge, freedom, and humanity.

Today, Ms. Julia Martin paid her second official visit to Royal Global School for a meeting regarding her proposal. The discussion was held with the Director, the Vice Principals, and the French teachers, Ms. Laxmi Patnaik and Ms. Barasha Konwar.

Ms. Julia Martin is associated with Institute Français Inde / French Institute in India – Kolkata. During her visit, she also interacted with the students learning French, encouraging and motivating them through her valuable insights and experiences

The Interhouse Declamation Competition - Vyakhyaan was conducted with great enthusiasm on 2nd May 2026 for the students of Grades 6 to 8. Participants from all four houses—Tagore, Mother Teresa, Vivekananda, and Gandhi—showcased immense talent and dedication.

The event was judged by Ms. Caroline L. Hauzel, Head of Wellness, and Ms. Sehanara Rahman, HOD of English (Primary School). The participants impressed the audience and judges alike with their confident delivery, expressive articulation, and well-prepared content. The competition reflected active participation and a healthy spirit of house rivalry.

The judges appreciated the efforts of all participants and encouraged them to continue honing their oratory skills. The event concluded successfully, fostering public speaking skills, confidence, and healthy competition among students.

The Inter-House Declamation Competition – Vyakhyaan at Royal Global School was conducted with great enthusiasm, offering students of Grades 9 to 12 a vibrant platform to showcase their oratory skills, confidence, and depth of thought. Participants impressed the audience by portraying renowned personalities such as Neera Arya, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Charlie Chaplin, Hillary Clinton, Napoleon Bonaparte, Bhagat Singh, Michelle Obama, Priyanka Chopra, and Susan Sarandon, with each performance reflecting strong preparation and expressive delivery.

The event was judged by Vice Principal Ms. Binita Jain and our esteemed educator Ms. Ajanita Hazarika, both of whose expertise added great value to the competition. All four houses—Vivekananda, Gandhi, Tagore, and Mother Teresa—participated with enthusiasm, showcasing remarkable confidence and creativity.

Overall, the competition was a memorable and enriching experience, highlighting the talent and expressive abilities of the students.

The Inter House competitions of Archery, Skating, Table Tennis, Squash and Chess were conducted today. Students demonstrated commendable skill, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the events.

On the occassion of celebrating mothers, Royal Global School hosted a delightful cooking workshop on 2nd May' 2026 at the Amaltas Dining hall. The session was led by acclaimed chef Aabhishek Bedi Varma, who guided mothers of Grade 1 and 2 through simple yet creative culinary creations.

The morning was filled with  love, laughter, and engaging learning as participants explored new recipes and techniques in a warm interactive setting. Dressed in elegant white, the mothers added to the charm of the celebration, making the event truly special.

A beautiful blend of bonding, creativity, and appreciation- making Mother's Day celebration memorable for all.
