RGS Spreads Joy and Kindness on Children’s Day

Royal Global School, Guwahati celebrated Children’s Day with great excitement, joy and fanfare.
In a heartwarming gesture, the school encouraged students to contribute a part of their pocket money to bring smiles to the faces of children who are not as fortunate as they are. Using this amount, essential items were purchased and distributed among the children of Nortap — an adopted village of our school — and Assam Sishu Kalyan Sadan.
The celebrations began with a grand welcome, as Faculty Members rolled out a red carpet to greet the students. A floral tribute was offered to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru before the commencement of the cultural programme, which featured an impressive lineup of performances by our talented Faculty Members.
The Director addressed the gathering and reminded the students to always remain sensitive and compassionate towards those who are less privileged.
The Early Years, Primary Grades, Middle School and Senior School celebrated the day within their respective wings, with teachers going all out to express their love and affection for their students. The tiny tots were especially delighted by a captivating sand-painting demonstration of our beloved Zubeen Da, created live by our Art teacher — an experience that left them utterly amazed.
A vibrant array of dance performances ranging from Hawaiian and Bihu to Bhangra and Modern Hip-Hop by our enthusiastic teachers kept the students across all grades thoroughly entertained. The highlight of the Senior school Program was the Fashion Show where the teachers donned the traditional attire of different states of our country and walked along the ramp. Soulful songs sung by the teachers accompanied by our talented musicians made the children sway in bliss.
The school and its Faculty Members left no stone unturned in making the day truly memorable for every child — a celebration of joy, gratitude and the timeless spirit of childhood.
