World Book Day 2025: Celebrating the Magic of Reading
“There is more treasure in books than in all the pirates’ loot in Treasure Island,” said Walt Disney—a sentiment that came alive at Royal Global School’s World Book Day celebrations on April 23, 2025.
The Junior School set the tone with Grade I students charming the audience as their favorite storybook characters, followed by a delightful skit on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and a cheerful rhyme highlighting the joy of reading.
Students from Grades IV and V lit up the stage as iconic literary figures like Willy Wonka, Matilda, Cinderella, and Harry Potter. At the same time, those from Grades VI and VII explored a range of book genres—from mystery and adventure to history and science.
In a world increasingly driven by screens, the celebration stood as a powerful reminder of the timeless wonder found within the pages of a book.
