Delhi Public School, Guwahati hosted its annual inter-school debate “Locked Horns” on 31st October and 1st November 2025. Royal Global School was represented by two teams — Diya Sarawgi, Sanchi Nahata, Dhruv Bagri; and Gwen Zorinpuii, Puranjay Chakraborty, Navya Tripathi. Both advanced through the preliminaries and quarterfinals, and in the semifinals, the two RGS teams faced each other in a spirited contest. Team A reached the finals against SFS, finishing as runners-up and gaining invaluable experience in reasoning, teamwork, and persuasion.
Royal Global School hosted Royal TechNova 2025, its annual inter-school technology fest, on 31 October 2025. Students from various schools showcased innovation and creativity through events like Logo Designing, Coding with Python, Mini Hackathon, AI Modelling, and Themed Videography.
The event was graced by esteemed judges — Mr. Dipangshu Dutta from Assam Engineering College and Dr. Arnab Kumar Das from Gauhati University.

A Fun-Filled Voyage into the Wonders of Science!
On 30th October 2025, 81 enthusiastic students of Grade VII A, B, C, and D from Royal Global School, accompanied by four teachers, embarked on an exciting educational trip to the Science Museum in Khanapara, Guwahati.
The students were captivated by the Cold Nitrogen Show, thrilled by the Mirror Maze, and intrigued by the many interactive exhibits and scientific models on display. The day was a perfect blend of fun and discovery, filled with laughter, questions, and unforgettable experiences. It was more than just a field trip — it was a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and the joy of learning beyond the classroom.
Our curious Grade III explorers had a wonderful learning experience at the Botanical Garden on October 30, 2025! The trip offered them a hands-on encounter with the fascinating world of plants — from towering trees to delicate aquatic and medicinal species. The students were especially intrigued to learn the scientific names of various plants.
It was truly a day filled with discovery, wonder, and a deep connection with nature!
A visit to the Planetarium was organized on October 29 for students of Grades I and II. The documentary “The Changing Sky Throughout the Seasons” sparked wonder and curiosity among the children, offering them a glimpse into the vastness of the universe. The visit not only deepened their understanding of space but also inspired awe and enthusiasm for space exploration. It was truly an enriching experience for our young learners.
A Musical Evening – Piano Recital was a captivating celebration of classical and contemporary piano music. Our talented pianists performed with grace and emotion, enchanting the audience with their artistry. The presence of our Chairman, Dr. A. K. Pansari, Esteemed Member of the Royal Group Mr. Surendra Agarwal, and Director, Dr. Arup Mukhopadhyay, added to the occasion’s warmth. The evening concluded with a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Zubeen Garg — a perfect finale to a memorable musical journey.
The Interhouse Solo Song Competition — Surmayee (Hindi) and Rhapsody (English) — for classes VI, VII, VIII, IX, and XI was held with great enthusiasm. The event featured outstanding performances by the participants, who showcased their musical talent with confidence and grace. The audience was captivated by their melodious renditions. Judges Ms. Banashree Neog and Ms. Upasana Choudhury expressed their delight at being part of the event and commended the students for their remarkable efforts. They also inspired everyone with their own soulful performances, making the event an unforgettable musical experience for all.
On October 25, 2025, Grade I students and their parents enthusiastically participated in “Eat Q – The Mindful Eating”, a fireless cooking competition promoting healthy habits and family bonding.
Across three exciting categories — Avocado, Dates, and Greek Yogurt — parent-child duos created innovative, nutritious dishes. The event beautifully combined fun, creativity, and learning, as families celebrated the joy of cooking together while young chefs explored the importance of balanced nutrition and teamwork.
The Royal Debating Society (Vox Populi) hosted an individual debate competition for students of Grade V on 24th October. The motion for the debate was: “This House believes that children should help in making school rules.”The debate was chaired by Barlin Naaz Ahmed of Grade V.

Royal Global School conducted a special morning assembly on 15th October to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the Missile Man of India and People’s President.
The assembly began with the morning prayer followed by the thought of the day, which highlighted one of Dr. Kalam’s inspiring quotes.
Students of Grade 5 presented a short speech on Dr. Kalam’s life and contributions — from his humble beginnings in Rameswaram to becoming India’s 11th President and one of the greatest scientists and visionaries. A declamation event was held where students of Grade 5 enthusiastically delivered excerpts from Dr. Kalam’s famous speeches, including “Dream , dream, dream” and “Failure will never overtake me.” Their confident expressions and heartfelt words reflected his ideals of dreaming big, hard work, honesty and patriotism.
The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
The Inter-Section Swimming Competition for Grade I & II was held successfully on 14th and 15th October 2025 at the school swimming pool. Our young swimmers displayed great enthusiasm, confidence, and sportsmanship as they participated in a range of fun and skill-based activities.
The event was filled with energy, cheers, and team spirit as students gave their best performances in the pool. It was truly delightful to witness their growing love for swimming and healthy competition.

Adding another feather to its cap, Royal Global School, Guwahati, was honoured with a prestigious award at the EducationWorld India School Rankings Awards (ISRA) 2025, held at Hotel Pullman, Aerocity, New Delhi. Today’s morning assembly at Royal Global School was dedicated to the legendary artist Zubeen Garg, whose music continues to resonate in every Assamese heart. The event began with a floral tribute to the Heartthrob of Assam, followed by a soulful rendition of his famous composition “Mayabini” by the teachers and students.
The Performing Arts Department, along with students, presented heartfelt performances that reflected the great musician’s values, simplicity, and deep cultural pride. Dr. Arup Mukhopadhyay, Director, RGS, spoke about Mr. Garg’s remarkable journey and artistic achievements, while Mr. Sattyakee D’Com shared personal memories highlighting his humility, warmth, and lifelong devotion to art and humanity.
The assembly concluded with a collective reflection on Zubeen Garg’s enduring legacy—an artist who not only defined an era of music but also inspired generations to stay rooted in culture while embracing creativity and compassion.

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, a special workshop was held for pre-primary and primary students to help them understand the importance of caring for their minds and bodies. Through fun discussions and activities, children learned to recognize emotions, share their feelings, and explore simple ways to stay mentally healthy. The engaging session encouraged emotional awareness, resilience, and the message to always “Be kind to your mind.”
