Royal Global School Shines at National Debate Championship 2025
Royal Global School participated in the National Junior Individual Speech and Debate Championship 2025, organised by the Indian Debating League in association with the Debating Society at IIT Guwahati. The theme for this year’s competition was “Guardians of the Wild.”
The event featured multiple formats, including Interpretive Reading, Impromptu Speech, Persuasive/After-Dinner Speech, and Debates. Out of the 18 students representing our school, seven qualified for the finale, which was conducted offline on the IIT Guwahati campus on 7th December. We were also delighted to have Ms. Ankita Pansari (Public Speaking Educator) deliver the keynote address during the finals.
Parth Jain Wins Gold at East Zone Roll Ball Championship 2025
We are proud to share that Parth Jain of Class 6 represented the Assam Team and brought home the Gold Medal at the 5th Sub Junior East Zone National Roll Ball Championship 2025.
The prestigious event was organised by the Assam Roll Ball Association on 6th and 7th December, 2025 at the Rudra Singha Roll Ball Ground.

Royal Global School Shines at CCCC Cryptic Crossword National Contest
The CCCC Cryptic Crossword Contest was held on 20th and 21st November at the YMCA Auditorium, New Delhi. Cryptic crosswords, known for their sophisticated wordplay and layered clues, challenge participants to think analytically and interpret language in creative ways.
Representing Royal Global School, Kreesha Jain (11-A) and Prayash Kalita (11-A) participated in the event, accompanied by Bala Meenakshi Ma’am. They demonstrated commendable skill and composure throughout the rounds and successfully qualified for the quarterfinals.Their performance was noteworthy, and reaching that stage in a national-level competition remains a proud accomplishment for the school.
Overall, the contest provided both students with valuable exposure and an enriching academic experience.

Vani Baid of Class 7(C) participated in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition and has secured the Silver Award.

Grade IX Star Utpalakshee Bags Silver at Nationals
Utpalakshee Saikia of Grade IX represented Assam at the National Pickle Ball event at Bengaluru in under 16 category from 13th-16th November, 2025. Her team won Silver medal in the team event.
Utpalakshee had also reached the quarter finals of the singles under 16 category in the event.

RGS Shines at “Locked Horns” Debate, Secures Runner-Up Position
Delhi Public School, Guwahati hosted its annual inter-school debate “Locked Horns” on 31st October and 1st November 2025. Royal Global School was represented by two teams — Diya Sarawgi, Sanchi Nahata, Dhruv Bagri; and Gwen Zorinpuii, Puranjay Chakraborty, Navya Tripathi. Both advanced through the preliminaries and quarterfinals, and in the semifinals, the two RGS teams faced each other in a spirited contest. Team A reached the finals against SFS, finishing as runners-up and gaining invaluable experience in reasoning, teamwork, and persuasion.
Yunay Gupta Makes State Proud with Kettlebell Victory
Yunay Gupta, an 8-year-old student of Royal Global School, has made his state proud by winning the State Kettlebell Competition held in Shillong, Meghalaya.

Ritisha Shines with 1st Place in U-13 Chess Championship
Ritisha Mayra Rajbongshi clinched 1st place in the Under-13 Girls category at the 48th All Assam Under-13 Chess Championship 2025. She has also been selected to represent the Assam team at the National Under-13 Chess Championship 2025, held from 25th to 27th July 2025 at JB College, Jorhat.

Young Speedster Advay Sets Record with IBR Achiever Award
We are proud to share that Advay Jhunjhunwala, a Grade III student of Royal Global School, Guwahati, has set a remarkable record by becoming the fastest runner in the 50m and 100m sprints, clocking 9 seconds and 19 seconds respectively — all at just 7 years and 7 months of age.
His extraordinary achievement has been officially recognized with the IBR Achiever Award by the India Book of Records.

Ex-Royalite Nishtha Bothra Secures AIR 2 in CA Final with 83.83%
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has declared the CA May 2025 results on 6July 2025 and ex Royalite Nishtha Bothra has emerged as the All India Rank 2(AIR 2) holder in the CA Final, scoring an impressive aggregate of 83.83 %.
In the Intermediate Final examination also Nishtha had shown her tact and intelligence by securing AIR 2 .
Nishtha had passed her Grade XII examination in flying colours with a score of 96.75% and had taken active part in all co-curricular events besides her studies. By securing a top position in such a challenging and competitive examination.
She has made us extremely proud and We wish her all the very best for her future endeavours.
Celebrating Young Achievers at Royal Global School
A Special Assembly was held at Royal Global School to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our young talents, proving that passion and perseverance lead to greatness.
Kavyansh Kejriwal (Grade II) entered the Assam Book of Records by performing 36 cartwheels in 60 seconds—the highest by a child.
Yunay Gupta Grade III became the youngest Kettlebell record holder at age 6, earning recognition in both the Assam Book of Records and the World Record category.
Advay Jhun Jhunwala (Grade III) clocked a 100-metre sprint in 20 seconds and a 50-metre sprint in 9 seconds, earning a spot in the Assam Book of Records.
Viraj Sarawagi (Grade VI), a budding chess player, secured 2nd place in the U-12 category at the Red Knight Chess Club King's College Championship 2025.
Vihaan Upadhyay (Grade X) won Best Film for “Sandwich” at the 10th Global Road Safety Film Festival in Morocco under SDG 5 – Quality Education.
Pari Gupta topped the North-East region in the JEE B.Arch Examination, bringing great pride to the school.
Chairman Dr. Ashok Kumar Pansari highlighted the importance of balancing academics with co-curricular excellence and congratulated the school community for nurturing such versatile talent.

Agastya Moksh Qualifies DELF A1 French Certification
Agastya Moksh of Grade X has successfully qualified for the DELF A1 examination.
The DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) is an official international certification awarded by the French Ministry of Education, recognizing proficiency in the French language. Qualifying for the DELF A1 level reflects a strong foundation in basic French communication skills and is a commendable achievement.
Royalites Engage at Infantia 2025 – A National Dialogue on Digital Safety
On 7th of April 2025, our school delegation attended Infantia 2025 at NOVOTEL, Guwahati—a national conclave on Children's Rights on the Internet. The event featured engaging discussions on digital safety, parenting, and online autonomy. Our proud moment was when Shaurya D. Khemka (XII A), our Head Boy, participated as a panelist. Students Zaveri Tehsin, Sanvi Agarwal, Vaibhav Daga, Puranjay Chakraborty, and Aarav Rathi took part actively, gaining valuable insights. The team was led by Susanta Chowdhury, along with Mr. Bhaskar Jyoti Ojah, Ms. Anukriti Choudhary, and the students’ parents. Eminent speakers like Shri Harmeet Singh, IPS, Neha Dhupia, and Dr. Madhulika Jonathan added depth to the dialogue, while a moving performance by Kapil Bora and Zerifa Wahid captured the emotional impact of the digital world. The experience left us inspired and informed.
RGS Stars Selected for Junior Roll Ball World Cup Trials
We are delighted to share that two talented students have been selected for the 1st Junior Roll Ball World Cup Indian Team Selection Trial Camp!
Heartiest congratulations to our U-17 Junior Players, who will compete for a spot on the Indian team. A total of 42 boys and 40 girls have been chosen for the Pre-Selection India Team Camp, which will take place in Singanallur, Tamil Nadu, from March 20 to 25. The final selected players will have the honor of representing Team India in Nairobi, Kenya.

Vihaan Upadhay Wins Best Film Award at Global Road Safety Festival
This year the prestigious “10th Global Road Safety Film” festival was held in Marrakech, Morocco, as a part of the Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety. The organizer of the event was “WHO” in Partnership with the “United Nations, World Bank, IRF (International Road Federation)” and other global
organizations working on road safety.
During the festival, Vihaan Upadhay, a Grade IX student of Royal Global School, submitted his short film “SANDWICH” for which he conceptualized and wrote the plot. The film went on to win the award for “Best Film” in the category of Sustainable Development Goal 5 – Quality Education on Road Safety.
The Hon’ble Minister for State for Ministry of Road Transport and Highways who was present during the ceremony, can be seen with the trophy.
We wish Vihaan many more such accolades in the future as well.

Royal Global Students Excel in International Humanity Olympiad 2024
Students of Royal Global School participated in the International Humanity Olympiad, conducted online in August 2024. The competition was held in two categories: Ankur (Grades V-VIII) and Pushp (Grades IX-XII).
Organized by the Satyug Darshan Trust (Regd.), Faridabad, the International Humanity Olympiad aims to uplift individuals, families, and society by enriching them with moral and ethical values. This platform allows participants to assess their own level of morality and cultivate humane qualities in a dignified manner. By fostering self-control and character development, individuals can strive to become noble and compassionate human beings.
