Day 2 of the CBSE Teachers’ Professional Development Program was an insightful session led by our Director, Dr. Arup Mukhopadhyay Sir.
The concepts of Assessment as, for, and of Learning were highlighted, along with a clear distinction between assessment and evaluation in a practical context.
The session was engaging and encouraged meaningful reflection on classroom practices, strengthening our approach towards effective teaching and assessment.
A CBSE teachers' professional development workshop was held at Royal Global School,Guwahati on April 1, 2026, led by Director Dr. Arup Kumar Mukhopadhyay. The topic, "21st Century Classroom," focused on innovative teaching approaches for competency-based education.
Teachers worked in groups to present on key areas like “Micro-Teaching with Feedback” that emphasized on competency-based teaching and peer feedback, “Competency Mapping Exercises” that aligned learning outcomes with skills, “Student Work Analysis Activity” that assessed learning gaps, and “Designing Learning Outcomes & Sorting Objectives” that focused on crafting outcome-driven lessons and many more such activities.
Director Sir discussed NEP 2020 & NCF 2023, highlighting the shift from traditional to student-centered learning. The workshop promoted collaborative learning and equipped teachers with new strategies for 21st-century classrooms.
