Royal Global School proudly participated in the Mayoor Invitational Debate and Quiz 2026, hosted by Mayoor School, Ajmer, where 19 reputed schools from across the country came together in a celebration of intellect, eloquence, and critical thinking.
Our Debate Team, comprising Sanchi Nahata, Arjun Agarwal, and Jiya Jain, also had a remarkable campaign, advancing to the Semi-finals after registering convincing victories over Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Maharaja Vidyalaya in the preliminary rounds, followed by a quarter-final triumph against Vasant Valley School. Their inspiring journey concluded with a closely contested semi-final against the host institution, Mayoor School, Ajmer.
The tournament also witnessed exceptional individual accomplishments. Arjun Agarwal (Class IX C) was adjudged Best Speaker in both the Preliminary and Quarter-final rounds, while Sanchi Nahata received the Best Speaker Award in the Preliminary Round, reflecting the team’s exceptional oratory skills and intellectual excellence.
Our Quiz Team, comprising Dhruv Bagri and Krrishiv Garodia, delivered an outstanding performance by qualifying for the Grand Finale and securing an impressive Fourth Position among the 19 participating schools.
Royal Global School is proud to announce that Grade 7 students Abhigya Kashyap, Parth Jain, and Chaitanya Siotia have secured First Place in the ‘Innovation Challenge’ at the ‘TechnoXian East Zone Championship’ held at Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute, Kolkata from 25–26 July 2026.
Their award-winning project, ‘Rain-Recharge Radarleverages ‘open satellite data to identify locations across Guwahati where monsoon rainfall can be effectively recharged into the ground instead of being lost as flood runoff. As part of this work, the team systematically mapped and analyzed all 60 municipal wards of the city, covering 172.5 km² using Google Earth Engine.
The platform integrates Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, Landsat 9, and SRTM datasets and has been developed as a live public web application demonstrating how geospatial technology can support flood resilience and sustainable groundwater management.
Mentored by Nabojyoti Gupta the team will now represent the region at the TechnoXian National Finals in New Delhi this November.

As part of its preparations for the upcoming academic session, Royal Global School, Guwahati, organised a Teachers' Orientation Programme on 25th July 2026, bringing together educators across departments for a day of collaborative planning, professional development, and meaningful discussions.
The programme commenced with classroom preparation and a welcome meeting, followed by division-wise departmental interactions focused on academic planning, expectations, and preparedness. Faculty members participated in a series of workshops led by Director Dr. Arup K. Mukhopadhyay on the 3-Language Policy, Kaushal Bodh and Kaushal Vikas, and Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence, aimed at strengthening curriculum implementation and enriching pedagogical practices. The sessions also provided valuable opportunities for departments to deliberate on strategic plans and align their goals for the session ahead.
The day concluded with a feedback and wrap-up session, where Heads of Departments and Heads of Divisions shared key takeaways, action points, and expected outcomes. The Orientation Programme reflected the school's continued commitment to academic excellence, collaboration, and continuous professional growth as it prepares to welcome students back after the summer break.
The three-day CBSE Cluster-I Athletics Meet 2026–27 commenced on Tuesday, 21st July 2026, at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex, Guwahati, hosted by Royal Global School. The championship has brought together 655 athletes from 62 schools across Assam and the Northeastern states.
The meet was inaugurated by Dr. Arup Kr. Mukhopadhyay, Director, Royal Global School, in the presence of Mr. Birju Ram, CBSE Observer, and Mr. Ashok Talukdar, Organizing Secretary. Around 40 technical officials, led by Mr. Nipon Das, Chief Technical Official, are overseeing the events.
The championship continues to witness spirited competition, remarkable performances, and exemplary sportsmanship as athletes compete for top honours and qualification for the national event.
A successful delegation of 12 students from Royal Global School participated in the Assam Valley School Model United Nations (AVS MUN), which was held from 17th - 19th July at Assam Valley School, Tezpur. They were accompanied by Ms. Kanishka Tiwari and Mr. Subrata Goswami.

Three students from Royal Global School of Grade IX , Ayaan Khemka, Arjun Agarwal and Gautam Jain escorted by Faculty member Mrs Seema Barooah participated in the East India Debate(EID) 2026, hosted by The Assam Valley School, Balipara, Tezpur, from 12th to 16th July 2026. The tournament proved to be an immensely enriching and insightful experience, bringing together 16 reputed schools from across the nation to compete in the internationally recognised World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) format.
Royal Global School competed in three preliminary debates against distinguished institutions, namely Delhi Public School, Guwahati, Hollotoli School, Dimapur, and Livingstone Foundation International School, Dimapur. Each debate presented unique challenges and valuable learning opportunities, allowing our team to gain meaningful exposure to diverse debating styles and perspectives.
In the Second and Third round Arjun Agarwal of Grade IX was judged as the Best Speaker while Gautam Jain was judged as the most Promising Speaker.
Overall, the East India Debates 2026 was far more than a competition—it was a celebration of ideas, respectful discourse, and intellectual growth.
We are delighted to share the outstanding achievement of Parth Jain of Grade VII, Royal Global School. Along with his team representing Kamrup, he emerged as the Winner in the Under‑17 category at the 6th Junior Inter District Roll Ball Championship 2026.
The championship was held in Guwahati from 10th to 12th July 2026 and was organized by the Roll Ball Association.
